Smith Lawnscapes LLC is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator and Crew Member to join our dedicated team in the Greater Lansing area.

You will operate skid steers, mini excavators, loaders and other equipment, assist with landscape construction, load materials, perform safety checks, and help with snow removal in winter. We value reliability, strong work ethic and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating landscape or construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather.
• At least one year of landscape or construction experience.
• Willingness to learn and take pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate landscape and construction equipment safely and efficiently (skid steer, mini excavator, loaders, compactors, etc.).
• Assist with landscape construction, hardscape installs, grading, and site prep.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow job plans, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Work closely with Crew Leaders and team members.
• Support snow removal operations during the winter months.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
