Job summary

ElectriCom Inc in Florence, TX is seeking an Equipment Operator to support aerial and underground fiber-construction projects. You will operate heavy equipment, assist field crews, perform routine equipment checks, and help ensure safe, efficient job-site operations outdoors in all weather conditions.

Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments, and overtime may be required. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Strong understanding of job-site safety and utility-location awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and rock saws.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Assist crews with groundwork and installation tasks.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of underground and overhead utilities.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials.
• Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments; overtime may be required.
• Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed.
