Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an Equipment Operator to transport materials across the site on day/night shifts, supporting production flow and safety goals.

You will perform daily maintenance, grease equipment, and conduct fluid checks while operating machines such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, and haul trucks. A strong team attitude and reliable attendance are essential. This role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in equipment operation.

• Actively promote safety culture and follow regulations.
• Perform daily equipment greasing and maintenance checks.
• Operate machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and haul trucks.
• Adjust controls to operate attachments.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Operator based out of our Elizabeth, NJ location to transport materials throughout the facility on day/night shift in our East Region. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient production flow and supporting site safety, environmental, and operational goals.

Day to Day

• Actively promote and willingly support a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Responsible for daily equipment greasing, morning “walk arounds” and fluid checks. Complete daily maintenance checklist to ensure your equipment is properly maintained, and to ensure the proper preservation of equipment maintenance records.
• Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing brooms. Start engines, move throttles, switches and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and haul trucks.
• Other duties as assigned as assigned.

About You

• 1-2 years of experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Very organized
• Good, detailed communication skills

Working Conditions

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.

Compensation

$22.64 - $26.52 HRLY
