About The Position

Work is performed under the supervision of the Materials Manager and in cooperation with the Transportation Leader.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

1. Operate yard equipment including forklifts, payloader, and trucks.
2. Unload steel and other materials from trucks, and distribute materials to storage areas.
3. Distribute materials to manufacturing work centers.
4. Transport parts and units between departments.
5. Transfer units or parts to/from blast and paint areas.
6. Maintain and arrange for equipment maintenance.
7. Load finished equipment onto trucks.
8. Perform daily equipment inspections.
9. Proficient in crane operation, and act as observer and trainer for payloader and crane operations.
10. Operate Mach yard truck with proper safety procedures.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
3. Experience with industrial equipment setup and loading.
4. Ability to operate multiple heavy equipment safely.
5. Knowledge of transportation and freight compliance.
6. Teamwork skills.
