Job summary

PeopleReady of Dickson, TN is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment, performing tests, and ensuring rent-ready status with safety as a priority.

The position requires 3–5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to work independently. Tools are provided by the employee with a 1st shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED is required; trade training preferred.
• Must provide mechanic's tools of trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Loads and unloads equipment as needed.
• Preps equipment for repair and rent-ready status; cleans and details.
• Maintains maintenance records and safety practices.
• Keeps track of rental equipment inventory and coordinates deliveries and service calls.
• Operates company vehicle safely and maintains a valid driver’s license.
