Job Overview

The Equipment Mechanic will perform general mechanical work, including repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, vehicles, and motorized equipment in the field. Responsibilities include supporting all equipment maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, and performing routine and advanced maintenance tasks.

Typical Duties

• Support equipment maintenance operations and participate in safety programs
• Perform routine and advanced maintenance on various vehicles and equipment
• Repair power train components, electrical systems, and suspension systems
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete all required documentation accurately

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with outside repairs and knowledge of various equipment
• Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills
• Experience with cranes, excavators, dozers, forklifts, etc.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 5+ years of experience as an Equipment Mechanic (non-automotive)
• Welding and electrical experience
• CDL is a plus

Physical Demands

Constant physical effort, including standing, lifting up to 90 pounds, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains. Certification to enter confined spaces is required.

Work Environment

Outdoor work in all weather conditions, exposure to noise, grease, dust, and proximity to heavy machinery. Substances like oil, grease, and fuels are common on-site.
