Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, a CRH Company, is seeking an Equipment Manager to lead safety-focused maintenance operations across locations. You will oversee shop activities, drive preventive maintenance, and improve fleet reliability and uptime while coordinating with operations for fleet planning and cost control.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional service to operations partners. Travel to multiple sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in maintenance shop management, fleet management, or equipment leadership.
• Strong leadership and team development skills with supervisors and technicians.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment management best practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA requirements.
• Oversee shop operations and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Drive maintenance programs to improve fleet reliability and availability.
• Manage vendor relationships and outsourced repair programs.
• Partner with operations to forecast equipment needs and plan fleet optimization.
