Job summary

Mount Rogers Community Services Board is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Sewing & Cutting/Spreader Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ESS sewing machines and related production equipment at Wythe ESS. The role requires hands-on knowledge of sewing machine mechanics, cutting and spreading equipment, and coordinating with Lectra/Gerber technicians.

You will develop maintenance schedules, source parts, and support safety practices across Smyth, Twin, and Wythe

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.
Knowledge of sewing machine mechanics and cutting/spreading equipment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Experience with Lectra/Gerber systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for sewing, cutting and spreading equipment.
Perform maintenance and repairs on sewing machines, cutters and spreaders across three facilities.
Communicate parts needs and coordinate sourcing with facility staff and external technicians.
Lead routine maintenance and ensure equipment remains in excellent working condition.
Participate in safety training and accident-prevention programs.
