The role is designed for individuals developing mechanical maintenance skills, working under direction from more experienced mechanics while learning safe work practices and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 0–2 years maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical or technical training welcomed but not required.
• Ability to learn industrial sewing machine maintenance and repair.
• Ability to document maintenance activities accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on industrial sewing machines and related equipment.
• Assist with machine setup, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and adjustments.
• Support senior mechanics by preparing tools, parts and work areas.
• Record maintenance activities and communicate issues to supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
