Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Flooring Solutions Technician 2 to coordinate with leadership to provide exemplary service and operate all equipment. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and ensure safe, rent-ready equipment with professional communication.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanic experience, a high school diploma, strong troubleshooting, and flexibility for weekend/evening emergencies. Local travel may be required; benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade training preferred.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work independently and be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.
• Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnoses, and repairs most mechanical problems.
• Maintain safe work environment and perform duties in accordance with safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse area.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment; trains authorized operator on safe use of equipment.
• On call for emergency service and rotating schedule for weekends/evenings.
