Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician to join our service team. You will coordinate with a Sales Engineer to provide exemplary service, demonstrate equipment use, operation, setup and repair.

This is a senior-level technician role that requires professionalism, safety, and strong communication with customers and staff. You will deliver and install rented equipment, train operators on safe use, maintain records, and participate in after-hours support on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles.
• Some after-hours and weekend work will be required during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Performs all levels of repair on-site.
• Keeps track of rental equipment and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Maintains warehouse area.
• Operates company vehicle safely with a clean driving record.
• Keeps records and maintains the vehicle, including routine maintenance.
• Maintains and tracks tools and supplies and reports defects.
• Provides professional communication with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork and tracks serial numbers.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment and trains authorized operators on safe use.
• Implements proper and safe procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of in-stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers.
• Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor with customers.
• Communicates effectively with staff and takes accurate messages.
• On-call for emergency service with rotating weekend/evening schedule.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment for operation and appearance.
• Troubleshoots equipment and understands operation, function, and controls including electrical motors.
