Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician 2 to coordinate with leadership and provide top-notch service for our customers. You will operate, set up and repair equipment, maintain safety standards, and keep detailed service records to minimize downtime.

You will perform maintenance, assist with deliveries, and train operators on safe use. We value professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Must provide mechanic's tools of the trade.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and work independently.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.
• Prior floor care equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.
• Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnose and repair most mechanical problems.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse area and tracks tools and supplies.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment and trains users on safe operation.
• On-call for emergency service; rotating schedule for evenings and weekends.
