What To Expect
The successful Equipment Maintenance Technician candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to perform daily tasks required to ensure the operational availability of assembly equipment. They must be dedicated to troubleshooting automotive manufacturing equipment, performing daily tasks, TPM/PM, and following up on actions. Additionally, they will conduct routine actions and document abnormalities. They will be key in driving equipment OEE improvements to meet production requirements.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily TPM/PM activities to ensure equipment operational availability, responding quickly to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimize downtime.
- Oversee analysis and adjustment of maintenance practices, procedures, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lead continuous improvement processes to enhance machine uptime and reduce breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quality issues.
- Create, modify, and implement PM documents and schedules under supervision.
- Perform major repairs and rebuilds, including some weekend and holiday work.
- Design, fabricate, implement, and document equipment improvements and modifications.
What You'll Bring
- At least 2 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation or equivalent.
- Skills in electrical, PLC, robotics, conveyor systems, mechanical, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics.
- Expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and willingness to learn more.
- Ability to lead others and foster a positive team environment.
- PLC and robot programming skills are a plus.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands
- Perform physically demanding work up to 12 hours/day.
- Stand, walk, lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, squat, and crawl for extended periods.
- Climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Use sight, touch, and hearing to identify issues and safety signals.
- Wear PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, bump cap, and follow safety rules.

Expected Compensation
$32.00 - $48.27/hour plus bonuses and benefits. Compensation may vary based on factors like location, experience, and skills.
