Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp in Ankeny, IA is seeking an Equipment Specialist to support the Fleet & Equipment team with onboarding, asset management, and logistics coordination for solar and EPC projects. The role is in-office, with travel up to 50% and standard Monday–Friday hours in the Ankeny offices.

You will train Equipment Coordinators, manage equipment moves, maintain records, and work with vendors and project teams to ensure timely equipment needs and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of fleet or equipment management experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Office, and Outlook; experience with database systems.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with leadership across cultures.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and training of project Equipment Coordinators, including procedures and reporting standards.
• Serve as a resource for Equipment Coordinators on day-to-day questions and guidance.
• Coordinate equipment logistics moves to project sites, F&E warehouse, and third-party vendors.
• Assist with inbound/outbound procedures for new equipment acquisitions, including inspection and labeling.
• Maintain records of equipment movements, logistics costs, and documentation in internal systems.
• Lead equipment-related special projects and process-improvement initiatives.
• Support other Fleet, Equipment, and Tooling initiatives as needed.
• Assist in creating and maintaining SKUs and asset numbers in equipment systems.
• Prepare equipment utilization reports and fleet summaries for management.
• Coordinate with vendors to fulfill equipment needs for construction projects.
• Collaborate with commercial, risk, and project coordinators for timely reporting.
