Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Equipment/Logistics Support specialist to help manage tool and equipment operations for the FEC division. This role ensures availability, safety, and proper maintenance of tools, fleet vehicles, and equipment on project sites.

The position requires 2+ years in construction logistics or equipment operations, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks with safety training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in construction logistics or equipment operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred or willing to obtain).
• Strong organizational skills and accurate recordkeeping.
• Safety-focused and able to follow PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support FEC equipment operations including daily activities for receiving, staging, organizing, and tracking of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment to project sites; assist with loading/unloading activities.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and minor maintenance tasks to support functionality and safety.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct timely data entry of information within equipment tracking systems and ERP platforms.
• Support equipment scheduling and document routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
• Respond to equipment requests; support timely delivery and proper documentation from project and site teams.
• Assist with equipment check-in/out processes, track usage, and identify damaged or missing items.
• Follow company safety policies, PPE, and operational standards.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in FEC storage yards, shops, and tool rooms.
• Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline logistics and reduce downtime.
• Lift and move heavy items; travel to job sites as needed.
• Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
