Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Equipment Logistics Specialist in New York, NY to manage critical equipment operations and ensure robust support for field teams. You will oversee inventory, dispatch, and maintenance, coordinating with project sites and vendors for timely deployment.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of equipment logistics, ERP systems, and strong communication skills to drive efficiency on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related field or equivalent plus 4+ years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and fleet management requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Able to operate forklifts and hold valid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day coordination of equipment operations including inventory, logistics, and dispatch to job sites.
• Serve as primary liaison between FEC and project/site teams to assess equipment needs and schedule deployment.
• Perform equipment inspections, coordinate repairs, and minimize downtime.
• Track preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain digital inventory in ERP systems and improve accuracy and processes.
• Coordinate with vendors for servicing, rentals, or procurement as directed.
• Support tool check-in/out and monitor high-use items; reallocate outdated equipment as needed.
• Mentor FEC staff in procedures, safety, and ERP usage.
• Improve logistics workflows to reduce waste and optimize availability across projects.
