Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its growing equipment finance platform in New York. The role involves underwriting equipment finance lease and loan transactions across various industries and asset classes, with exposure to direct-originated and syndicated deals.

You will analyze financial statements, assess risk, and prepare concise credit memoranda while supporting structuring and negotiation of terms. Experience in equipment finance and syndicated transactions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant credit underwriting experience.
• Prior experience in equipment finance, leasing, commercial lending, or a related credit environment.
• Strong financial statement analysis and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience evaluating direct-originated and/or syndicated transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and structure small-ticket equipment finance lease and loan transactions.
• Analyze new and existing customers through detailed financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit evaluation.
• Prepare concise, well-reasoned credit memoranda and recommendations.
• Support the structuring and negotiation of transaction terms and conditions.
• Evaluate creditworthiness for new, renewal, and extension transactions.
• Assist with transaction closing and coordination with internal teams, clients, and legal counsel.
• Ensure all lending decisions comply with established credit policies, procedures, and risk parameters.
