Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Credit Underwriter to evaluate and authorize commercial equipment lease credits in alignment with internal policies. The role requires detailed financial analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance to support portfolio health.

Based onsite at the Federal Way location, the candidate will collaborate with Credit and Business Development, review documentation, and provide recommendations for program enhancements while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of credit underwriting in commercial lending.
• Familiarity with financial statement spreading tools and risk rating methods.
• Familiarity with vendor/relationship governance agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of management and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Make credit decisions within assigned limits and policies.
• Review credits above limits and recommend actions to credit management.
• Perform financial analysis on vendor/TPO partners for annual reviews.
• Spread financial statements and complete risk rating assessments.
• Coordinate with Credit and Business Development to suggest programmatic changes.
• Ensure compliance with bank regulations and complete required training.
