Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in equipment/maintenance engineering (or master's with 0–2 years).
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems, control systems, and process instrumentation.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with FMEA tools and regulatory standards (GMP ISO 13485, CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, ISO 15189).

Responsibilities

• Conducts engineering analyses to assess equipment performance and develop data-driven improvement recommendations.
• Supports installation, modification, and qualification of lab manufacturing equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Performs maintenance, repair, and adjustments on complex equipment.
• Applies problem-solving to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintains engineering documentation including specs, instructions, test results, and change records.
