Job summary

Illumina is seeking an Equipment Engineer I to support Flow Cell Manufacturing equipment reliability and continuous improvement. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor, assisting with maintenance, calibrations, upgrades, and reliability projects while documenting findings and sharing knowledge with the team.

The candidate will work with Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology or related field with 0–2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations through equipment troubleshooting and sustainment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance optimization and equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls issues on automated systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support investigations and improvements.
