Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance engineering, or a master’s degree with 0–2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of GMP/ISO 13485 and CAP/CLIA/NYSDOH/ISO 15189 and FDA regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and FMEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Conducts professional engineering analyses to assess equipment performance and develop data-driven improvement recommendations.
• Supports installation, modification, and qualification of laboratory manufacturing equipment with technicians and operations teams.
• Performs advanced maintenance, repair, and adjustments on complex manufacturing equipment.
• Applies problem-solving methods to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develops and maintains engineering documentation, including specifications, test results, and change records.
• Collaborates on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment capability and throughput.
• Supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs and reliability enhancements.
• Performs testing, calibration, and verification to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Exercises professional judgment to ensure safe and compliant equipment operation.
