Job summary

Gotion Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced manufacturing equipment for battery production.

You will drive preventive maintenance, data-driven improvements, and reliability initiatives across electrode manufacturing lines. The role requires hands-on experience with PLC/HMI, sensors, and automation, plus strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience with automated production equipment.
• Proven expertise in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, servo systems, and industrial automation.
• Experience with troubleshooting control systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for equipment design review and modification.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment used in electrode manufacturing and packaging.
• Ensure equipment meets process specs, operational requirements, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct RCA for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Provide on-site and remote support for emergency repairs.
• Drive automation upgrades to improve throughput and reduce costs.
• Analyze equipment data to optimize yield, efficiency, and stability.
• Identify best practices in predictive maintenance and process control.
• Lead training sessions for operators and technicians on equipment use and safety.
