Role: Maintenance Technician
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Pay Rate: $30-32, based on experience
Schedule: Hybrid 2nd shift (12pm-10:30pm) Monday-Thursday

Job Summary: The Equipment and Maintenance Technician assists in the installation, repair, and monitoring of industrial processing and production machinery under the supervision of the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include operating, dismantling, cleaning, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in liquid mixing, filling, and packaging of personal care products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Perform line change-over, packaging equipment setup, start-up, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient operation for production needs and goals.
  2. Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, including problem identification, material requisition, and repairs.
  3. Inspect machinery and equipment for irregularities and malfunctions, performing necessary repairs.
  4. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service tasks.
  5. Follow safety procedures for all equipment.
  6. Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment.
  7. Maintain clean and organized work areas and comply with safety regulations.
  8. Handle multiple projects and prioritize work efficiently.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Trade school or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Flexibility in dealing with team members and work assignments/projects.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-organized and motivated; able to work independently.
  • Attendance is critical; no unexcused absences allowed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift a minimum of 65 lbs. and push/pull up to 400 lbs.
  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Work in an industrial environment.
