Independence Equine & Small Animal Clinic is hiring an Experienced Equine Veterinary Technician in Gainesville, TX. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM schedule with weekends off, and requires experience with horses.

Qualifications

• Experience with horses is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians on farm calls and in-clinic procedures.
• Support lameness exams, reproductive work, dentistry, surgery, and emergency care.
• Administer medications, vaccines, IV fluids, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Collect and run lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.).
• Provide nursing care and patient monitoring.
• Assist with radiographs, pre-purchase exams, and diagnostics.
• Handle and restrain horses safely and confidently.
• Communicate effectively with clients and educate on care.
• Maintain inventory, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Participate in daily barn care and hospitalized patient management.
