PetVet Care Centers' Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a compassionate Surgery Barn Admissions & Barn Crew to join our Surgery Barn Team. This first point of contact manages arrivals, admissions, and client needs in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

The role requires experience handling horses, strong communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Equine handling and restraint.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Comfortable working with clients in emotional situations.
• Capability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and manage arrivals/departures for surgery barn.
• Check horses in and out, document patient and contact info.
• Direct clients to appropriate locations and communicate with staff.
• Assist with loading/unloading horses from trailers.
• Maintain barn cleanliness, stalls, hay and bedding, and general upkeep.
• Support with discharge procedures and medications when needed.
• Operate the tractor and mow/maintain fields as required.
