San Antonio Equine Hospital is expanding our surgical services and we are seeking an experienced equine anesthesia technician to help build and support a high-performing surgical team.

As a key member of our surgery department, you will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, collaborate with surgeons, assist with diagnostics, maintain equipment, and contribute to ongoing service improvements. Competitive wage starts at $25/hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in equine anesthesia is required.
• Calm, focused presence in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in the OR.
• Strong horsemanship and safe handling of horses.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover equine anesthesia safely and confidently.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and surgical staff for efficient case flow.
• Assist with diagnostics and treatments within the hospital.
• Maintain equipment and uphold sterile technique.
• Participate in continual improvement of the surgery program.
