San Antonio Equine Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. You will work hands-on with horses in hospital and ambulatory settings, assisting with advanced diagnostics and treatments while maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

The role involves direct patient care, emergency procedures, and collaboration with doctors to deliver exceptional patient care and client service.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred; experienced assistants considered.
• Strong horsemanship skills, including safe handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures in-hospital and on-farm.
• Overnight monitoring and care for hospitalized patients.
• Safely handle and restrain horses of varying ages and temperaments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support client communication.
• Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.
