Job summary

San Antonio Equine Hospital is seeking a Night Veterinary Technician to join our team. You’ll work hands-on with horses in hospital and ambulatory settings, assisting doctors with diagnostics and treatments. You’ll monitor hospitalized patients overnight, maintain accurate medical records, and support client communication.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred; experienced veterinary assistants considered.
• Strong horsemanship skills, including safe handling, restraint, and recognition of common equine conditions.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures and treatments (in-hospital and on-farm).
• Overnight monitoring and care for hospitalized patients.
• Safely handle and restrain horses of varying ages and temperaments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication.
• Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.
