Job summary

San Antonio Equine Hospital is expanding our surgical services and we are seeking an experienced equine anesthesia technician to help build and support a high-performing surgical team.

As a key member of our surgery department, you will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, collaborate with surgeons, assist with diagnostics, maintain equipment, and contribute to ongoing service improvements. Competitive wage starts at $25/hour with comprehensive benefits.

• Maintain equipment, uphold sterile technique, and support patient safety at every step
• Participate in continuous improvement as we grow and refine our surgery services

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in equine anesthesia is required (credentialed technicians preferred; highly experienced assistants considered)
• Calm, focused presence in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills — in and out of the OR
• Strong horsemanship and safe handling of horses of all sizes and temperaments
• Dependable, organized, and eager to contribute to a developing program
