Job summary

Installed Building Products is seeking a hands-on field supervisor to lead epoxy and coating installations, supervise crews, and ensure safety and quality on site across Vermont and Northern New York.

You will coordinate daily activities, mentor installers, maintain project documentation, and travel regularly to project sites, with overnight stays as required. OSHA-10 and fit-testing are expected, along with a valid Vermont license.

Qualifications

• OSHA-10 certification (or proven prior completion).
• Ability to use a respirator and pass a fit test.
• Commitment to a substance-free work environment.
• Experience with basic construction techniques (e.g., painting, carpentry).
• Ability to apply coatings using brushes and rollers.
• Ability to perform basic math to determine mix ratios.
• Ability to read chemical data sheets and follow instructions.
• Valid Vermont driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel daily to project sites.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members.
• Physical ability to move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate grinders, drills, sanders, polishers, and generators.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in safety, OSHA compliance, and maintaining a professional work environment.
• Review project documentation, specs, and schedules to align crews with scope and timelines.
• Coordinate daily jobsite activities, direct crews, stage materials, and plan workflows for productivity.
• Train, mentor, and supervise installers on techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Perform surface prep activities including grinding, scarifying, sanding, and crack repair.
• Mix, install, and oversee epoxy, urethane, MMA, polyaspartic, and other resinous flooring systems.
• Conduct quality control inspections to meet manufacturer specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation: daily reports, material usage, safety logs, change orders.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, project managers, and team members on updates and issues.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and develop field solutions to stay on schedule.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment; report repairs as needed.
• Travel daily from the shop to project sites in Vermont and Northern New York; overnight travel as needed.
