Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an experienced EPMO Director to set the enterprise PMO vision and drive maturity across programs in CityScape, Phoenix.

You will lead a team of project managers, coordinate resources and external partners, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with standards.

The role requires senior leadership, deep banking know-how, and the ability to collaborate with executives to realize business value.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience in Project Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field; Masters or MBA preferred.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of banking operations, including deposit operations and treasury management.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced experience with resource planning, capacity management, demand forecasting and resource assignments across a complex program and project portfolio.
• Experience with resource management technology in advanced project platforms, like Planview.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration with executives, stakeholders, and management.

Responsibilities

• Set the EPMO vision and drive continuous maturity improvements.
• Lead and develop Project and Program Management talent.
• Attract, develop, engage, and retain high-performing PMs.
• Coordinate resources, contractors, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Oversee delivery practices, ensure standard compliance and project health.
• Communicate status with reports, meetings, and stakeholder updates.
• Recruit and mentor the EPMO team; manage performance and training.
• Balance workload and align roles and accountabilities.
