Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute. The role focuses on managing complex epilepsy care, leveraging an in-house neurophysiology lab, and collaborating with neurosurgical partners. An academic appointment with NEOMED may be available for qualified candidates.

You will participate in teaching, clinical innovation, and a comprehensive epilepsy program across outpatient and inpatient settings within Summa Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in neurology with specialization in epilepsy.
• Completion of an epilepsy fellowship.
• Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care and clinical innovation.
• Experience with complex epilepsy management and care pathways.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 100% epilepsy care within the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery and related services on treatment pathways.
• Engage in teaching, academic activities and resident education.
• Utilize advanced diagnostics and participate in research and innovation.
• Contribute to program growth and outpatient/inpatient epilepsy services.
