Job summary

Summa Health Akron seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute. The role focuses on comprehensive epilepsy care, with access to advanced diagnostics, surgical intervention, and a collaborative neurology and neurosurgery team.

Opportunities for academic appointment with NEOMED and involvement in research and education are available. The ideal candidate is Board-Certified (or eligible) in Neurology with an Epilepsy fellowship and a demonstrated interest in complex

Qualifications

Board-certified or eligible in Neurology with a focus on epilepsy.
Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
Experience in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care.
Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.
Interest in clinical innovation and technology in epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

Provide 100% epilepsy-focused clinical care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
Collaborate with neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery and patient care pathways.
Participate in academic activities with NEOMED and research opportunities.
Engage in teaching residents and medical students.
Contribute to program development and expansion of epilepsy diagnostics and treatment pathways.
