Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute in Akron, OH. This role focuses on comprehensive epilepsy care across clinic and inpatient/EMU settings, offering collaboration with neurosurgical partners and access to advanced diagnostics and surgical pathways.

The position emphasizes teaching, research, and involvement in academic activities with NEOMED, while supporting patient-centered, team-based care and innovation in epilepsy treatment.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in neurology.
• Completion of an epilepsy fellowship.
• Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Experience with complex epilepsy management or advanced epilepsy care is preferred.
• Current unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Interest in clinical innovation and advancing epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% epilepsy care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurophysiology, radiology and surgical teams.
• Participate in teaching and resident education.
• Engage in research, innovation and medical education within the Neurosciences Institute.
