Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ is offering an Epidemiology Operations intern position as part of the Future Talent Program. The internship spans up to 12 weeks and includes projects that develop skills in project management and global process standardization within GCTO.

You will work with epidemiology trial teams, gain exposure to clinical research and drug development, and deliver a capstone presentation outlining objectives and activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA (or higher) degree program in a business, PM, CI, computer technology, or science related discipline.
• Available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• Completed at least 2 years of collegiate study by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for strategic initiatives.
• Assist efforts to simplify and standardize global processes.
• Develop tools to enhance epidemiology trial conduct.
• Generate process maps and performance metrics.
• Develop communications and update the Epi Ops webpage.
• Receive exposure to clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting global clinical trial operations.
• Deliver a capstone presentation illustrating internship objectives and activities.
