Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System’s Technology Services team seeks an experienced Epic Web and Service Server Engineer Sr. to support and advance Epic architectures.

You'll contribute to capacity planning, system performance, and deployment of Epic technologies, collaborating with application teams and cross-functional IT staff. The role emphasizes consulting on standards, software and hardware integration, and ensuring HIPAA compliance within a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with IT experience in healthcare or enterprise environments.
• Minimum 4 years direct Epic ECSA experience with progressive responsibilities.
• At least 5 years in information technology and healthcare privacy compliance.
• Strong understanding of OS concepts, file permissions, and scripting with PowerShell.
• Experience with HIPAA and regulations impacting hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, install and deploy Epic technologies and components.
• Provide consulting to Epic application teams on architecture and standards.

This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, system performance, and configuration management. Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying Epic technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of Epic architectures, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services to the Epic application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of Epic technology standards.
