Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University seeks a senior IT professional to lead identification and implementation of Epic-based solutions across systems. You will plan upgrades, oversee configuration and maintenance, and analyze workflows to improve operations.

You will author specifications, design validation tests, and contribute to technology standards. The role involves estimating resources, ensuring timely delivery, and proactively addressing risks to protect project integrity.

Qualifications

• Requires EPIC Certification and strong healthcare IT experience.
• Experience with large-scale health IT projects and Epic systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage resources and budgets.
• Experience in testing, documentation, and standards.
• On-call/DR/BC triage experience.
• Strong collaboration with clinical and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads efforts to identify optimal technical solutions and ensures integration across systems.
• Develops and manages business work plans for analysis and testing of system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements.
• Oversees configuration, implementation, and maintenance of technical requirements across all environments.
• Analyzes and improves work processes, evaluates feasibility for medium to large projects, and resolves operational challenges.
• Authors detailed specifications and documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with standards.
• Designs and executes advanced test scenarios, validating system integrity and performance.
• Contributes to defining technology standards and best practices.
• Provides input on resource estimation for projects and initiatives.
• Ensures timely completion of deliverables, proactively addressing risks and variances.
