Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in patient care or related setting required.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred; bilingual is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and outstanding customer service and listening skills required.
• Critical thinking, multitasking, sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills essential.
• Team-oriented, open minded, flexible, and willing to learn.
• Must be able to type 40 WPM and have strong Microsoft Word/Outlook/Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Competent and proficient in ambulatory scheduling across Primary Care and other services.
• Answers all calls to schedule patients per departmental and Epic guidelines.
• Evaluates non-scheduling inquiries and routes/escalates as required.
• Performs outreach to patients to convert referrals to appointments.
• Proficient with MyChart/MyRushApp and Epic Cadence workflows.
• Documents appointment information accurately and notifies patients of critical visit details.
• Supports revenue cycle by discussing financial responsibilities and collecting payments.
