RWJBarnabas Health in West Orange, NJ seeks a Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments within the Thoracic Surgery Services department. The role demands strong communication, meticulous scheduling, and EPIC proficiency to manage queues and ensure timely care.

You will verify insurance, maintain accurate patient data, and coordinate with patients, physicians, and staff to deliver a seamless scheduling experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer clerical health-care experience and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills.
• Familiarity with office equipment (copier, fax) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Schedule appointments based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Manage scheduling queues and In Basket messages within EPIC.
• Verify insurance and pre-authorizations.
• Communicate appointment details and respond to scheduling inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient information while delivering excellent customer service.
