Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to optimize the Epic EMR across clinical departments, enhancing patient and clinician experiences. The role acts as a liaison among IT, physicians, Nursing, and other groups to ensure clinical systems meet objectives and regulatory requirements.

The position emphasizes workflow design, data analytics, and training, with a focus on Lean-based process improvement and effective governance. On-site in Bozeman, MT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health informatics, or related field; equivalent combination may be considered.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience and one (1) year with Epic EMR.
• Preferred: Master’s in Nursing Informatics or related field; Epic certifications.

Responsibilities

• Clinician engagement: liaison between clinicians, IT, and Epic EMR stakeholders.
• Workflow design and optimization: improve EHR workflows based on end-user input and data.
• User training and support: develop and deliver training materials for Epic users.
• System and content build: assist with EHR content build and modifications.
• Policy and procedure development: guide Epic EHR usage policies and procedures.
• Data analysis: provide insights using Radar dashboards, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, etc.
• Governance: participate in committees and workgroups as SME for informatics.
• Quality assurance: ensure changes meet regulatory standards including HIPAA and accreditation.
• Change management: communicate changes to minimize end-user disruption.
