Job summary

Bozeman Health seeks a Clinical Informaticist to optimize the Epic EMR across clinical departments, enhancing patient and clinician experiences. The role liaises with IT, physicians, Nursing, and other teams to align workflow with clinical objectives and regulatory requirements.

The position focuses on workflow design, end-user training, analytics, and governance, reporting to the Medical Information Officer. Leadership and Lean Six Sigma familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, health informatics, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Three years of clinical experience.
• One year of Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage clinicians and IT/Epic EMR teams; communicate Epic Ascent needs.
• Design and optimize EHR workflows using end-user feedback and usage data.
• Develop and deliver Bozeman Health-specific training materials; supplement Epic ELEUT.
• Assist in EHR content builds and modifications for project teams.
• Create and update policies related to Epic EHR use.
• Provide data analytics guidance using Radar dashboards, Reporting Workbench, and other tools.
• Serve as SME in governance groups; participate in EHR steering committees.
• Ensure updates meet quality and regulatory standards (DNV, HIPAA, QPP).
• Oversee system updates with clear communication to minimize disruption.
