Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks a clinical informatics expert to optimize workflows and documentation within assigned clinical areas. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent
• 3 years of clinical and/or operational experience
• 2 years of experience with clinical computer systems
• Knowledge of clinical best practices, operations, policies, procedures, workflows, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills and analytical thinking
• Ability to translate workflows into an electronic environment
• Ability to collaborate with project/disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Serves as the clinical informatics expert regarding workflows and documentation requirements for assigned clinical area(s).
• Evaluates clinical workflows/processes and designs technical solutions to optimize system usability and address regulatory requirements.
• Acts as liaison between clinical and technical disciplines and supports system adoption efforts.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to enhance existing clinical systems and/or implement new clinical systems.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and upholds the MetroHealth System's mission, values, and customer service standards.
