Job summary

Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented EHR Optimization Specialist to analyze clinical workflows, troubleshoot Epic-related issues, and optimize electronic health record systems.

You will identify workflow deficiencies, document recommendations, and present improvements to boost efficiency and user experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience training clinical providers on Epic applications and related clinical workflows.
• Proven proficiency with Epic software and healthcare information systems.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology, clinical workflows, and training methodologies.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lucidchart/Visio.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, such as ManageEngine.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical workflows and troubleshoot Epic-related issues.
• Provide technical support to optimize EHR performance.
• Document workflow observations and recommendations.
• Deliver on-site or remote Epic training for staff.
• Assist with security access processes and go-live support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a healthcare setting.
