Job summary

Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center in Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented BI EHR Optimization Specialist to analyze clinical workflows, troubleshoot Epic-related issues, and optimize EHR processes to improve system performance and user experience.

The role supports Epic training, security access reviews, and as backup trainer, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience training clinical providers on Epic applications and related clinical workflows; proficiency with Epic software and healthcare information systems.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology, clinical workflows, and training methodologies.
• Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lucidchart/Visio.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ManageEngine.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods and manage interruptions, with accommodations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Epic EHR & CSHHC knowledge: train, credential in Ambulatory, Cadence, ClinDoc, stay current with upgrades.
• Optimization support shadow: document workflow deficiencies, assess training needs, track resolutions.
• Epic Central: troubleshoot issues by phone, manage requests with engineers, document resolutions.
• Epic Training: deliver on-site training for Epic modules and provide ad hoc sessions.
