Job summary

Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented BI EHR Optimization Specialist to analyze clinical workflows, troubleshoot Epic-related issues, and optimize EHR processes for performance and user experience.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment, documents workflows, and provides training and go-live support for Epic applications as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience training clinical providers on Epic applications and related clinical workflows.
• Proven proficiency with Epic software and healthcare information systems.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology, clinical workflows, and training methodologies.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lucidchart/Visio.
• Familiarity with various ticket management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Attend required CSHHC Epic training to acquire knowledge of Epic workflows.
• Complete credentialing in Ambulatory, Cadence, and ClinDoc.
• Review training and upgrade material to stay current with Epic changes.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Epic functionality and CSHHC workflows.
• Provide live and remote support after analysis of site workflows to identify deficiencies and training opportunities.
• Regularly round departments to assess training needs and provide improvement recommendations.
• Document workflow observations and revisions using appropriate software.
• Provide ongoing high-level support and guidance for new and existing employees on processes.
• Provide go-live support during Epic upgrades.
• Review policies and participate in Epic upgrade meetings and communications.
• Maintain exemplary customer service and timely responses for Epic user concerns.
• Troubleshoot Epic issues via phone and coordinate service requests with Epic Central analysts.
• Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system and provide on-site elbow support.
• Follow up with end users to ensure issue resolution.
• Review and process security access forms for new hires and changes.
