Job summary

Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO seeks a Lead IT Systems Application Analyst-Epic (Cupid) to design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise applications. You’ll work with IT, troubleshoot issues, and lead upgrades while mentoring teammates.

You will own system integration projects, collaborate across business areas, and ensure high-quality documentation and end-user support. A strong Epic background and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and 3-5 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• Associate’s Degree and 7 or more years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent and 9 years' experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) required within 120 days of hire. Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product. Tracked by department leadership. Required

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and development of complex computer information systems, including system configurations, software programs, database structures, and network infrastructure.
• Provides end-user support by responding to service desk requests and resolving technical issues. Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, installs software updates, provides appropriate user access, and provides in-depth training to end-users.
• Leads cross-functional teams in the requirements, design, development and implementation of new systems and processes including Epic and related systems.
• Manages relationships with vendors and external partners, ensuring that they deliver quality products and services.
• Mentors and trains junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
