Job summary

Children’s Mercy Kansas City seeks an experienced Lead IT Systems Application Analyst–Epic to lead design, development, and support of enterprise applications within the Epic EHR environment. You will guide projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with clinicians and IT peers to optimize ambulatory workflows and system performance.

Successful candidates will hold Epic certifications and advanced degrees as described, with strong leadership and vendor-management capabilities to deliver

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and 3-5 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred. or
• Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred. or
• Associate's Degree and 7 or more years experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred. or
• HS diploma or equivalent and 9 years' experience in the user areas to be supported or related fields. Leadership experience preferred.
• At least one Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) required within 120 days of hire. Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product. Tracked by department leadership. Required

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and development of complex computer information systems, including system configurations, software programs, database structures, and network infrastructure.
• Provides end-user support by responding to service desk requests and resolving technical issues.
• Leads cross-functional teams in the requirements, design, development and implementation of new systems and processes including Epic and related systems.
• Manages relationships with vendors and external partners, ensuring that they deliver quality products and services.
• Mentors and trains junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
