Job summary

Children's Nebraska, a premier pediatric healthcare center, seeks a qualified IT professional to design, test, and maintain clinical IT applications across hospital and outpatient settings. You will collaborate with clinics and departments to implement changes, document resolutions, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring end-user needs are met.

The role requires EPIC certification within 9 months of hire, with prior Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in IT, healthcare or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years IT or healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous Epic clinical application experience preferred.
• Previous super user/trainer experience preferred.
• Must obtain Epic certification within 9 months of hire.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, implement and maintain hospital and/or outpatient clinical IT applications.
• Work with clinics and departments to support and implement changes as needed to existing systems.
• Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain clinical applications to meet end-user needs.
• Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions and build documentation as outlined by policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers through effective communication.
• Participate on project teams to define requirements for changing systems and workflows.
• Translate workflow requirements into efficient/effective application solutions.
• Perform integrated testing of current and new vendor functionality to ensure reliability and integrity.
• Assist with end-user training and development as needed.
