Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a Clinical IT Applications professional to design, test, implement, and maintain hospital and outpatient IT tools. You’ll research and fix issues, support clinics and departments, and ensure smooth EMR operations.

Responsibilities include configuring and testing Epic applications, documenting resolutions, training end-users, and participating in on-call duties. A 2-year IT/health IT background is typical for this role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, medical field, or related; experience may substitute.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Epic clinical application experience preferred.
• Previous systems super user and trainer experience preferred.
• Must obtain EPIC certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain clinical applications.
• Record issues and resolutions; maintain documentation per policies.
• Build relationships with customers through clear communication.
• Participate in projects to define requirements for system changes.
• Translate workflow requirements into efficient application solutions.
• Perform integrated testing of vendor functionality for EMR reliability.
• Assist with end-user training and development as needed.
• Participate in on-call and monthly maintenance activities.
• Regular attendance is an essential function.
