Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a qualified IT professional to design, configure, test and maintain hospital and outpatient clinical IT applications, including Epic. You will analyze workflows, implement changes, and document resolutions while building strong customer relationships.

The role supports end-user training and collaborates with multiple departments to define requirements and efficient processes, with after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, medical profession, or related field Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in Information Technology or healthcare field Preferred
• Previous Epic clinical application experience Preferred
• Previous systems super user and/or trainer experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, test, implement and maintain hospital and/or outpatient clinical IT applications.
• Analyzes, designs, configures, tests and maintains Children’s Hospital & Medical Center’s clinical applications to meet user needs.
• Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions and build documentation per department policies.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication.
• Participate on project teams to define requirements for changing new & existing systems and define process flows for efficient application use.
• Analyze and translate workflow requirements into efficient/effective application solutions.
• Perform integrated testing of current and new vendor functionality to ensure EMR reliability and integrity.
• Assist with end-user training and development as needed
